Tennis and Football

They don't actually mix very well but that's what we did!

We headed over to the school with tennis rackets in hand. Neither girl was excited with the idea of a family tennis outing, not surprisingly. Upon arrival, we found out the high school athletic field, including the tennis courts was inaccessible. Oops. John suggested we go play at the Elementary School playground.

Unbeknownst to me, we had brought a basketball and a football!! There happens to be a small basketball court and a small soccer field with artificial turf at the ES playground. We started with tennis, switched to football and then back to tennis - all played on the soccer field. All of us had a great time. Some basketball was played in between but the focus was mainly on our really bad tennis...but at least we were all really bad!! The football was touch with a tiny bit of tackle thrown in when John and I were too tired to run. :-)

We dragged ourselves home quite exhausted. Crawled into the shower then all except Lisette went out for a steak and rib dinner. Yummy!! Too bad Lisette had too much homework to catch up on!

Bedtime is around the corner - thank Goodness!! We should all sleep well tonight!
