Exhilarating Day

I guess I needed a "ladies" day out really bad because I had such a great time today!!

There was a luncheon today to discuss the fact that the APO (military mail system) is likely to be closing here sometime around the end of this year. It will be replaced by the Dept. of State mail system so all is well. Sounds straight forward enough? Not that exciting right? Well, I had such a good time! It was hostessed by a lady of Cuban descent so the food was delicious! I knew a few of the ladies there plus met some other nice people too.

The girls have been invited to a church youth group expedition on Thursday so that was great. We've been invited to dinner at John's supervisor's home on Thursday evening. We really like the both of them so that's terrific too.

Jake's wonderful classmates from Navarre sent him an envelope full of letters from them! He also received a phone call from his new teacher and his friend Manny is in his class!!!

Altogether a very positive day!
